It's speculation that Nintendo will be revealing the "DS2" or what we will call later in the year to be released in Japan in early '09, and probably in the U.S. for the holiday season '09. The reasoning behind this: the market saturation in Japan. While the DS continues to sell, more DSs sold in Japan to households. There is nobody left who has not bought one. Reason # 2, GBA had about a cycle of 3 years of life before the DS was released. The DS has been out for 4 years now. So it may be time for an update. Reason # 3, have you noticed that there has been a DS 1 party game released at some point? We are beginning to overwhelm the "Zed Ubisoft's" games (Dogz, Catz, Guinea Pigz, etc.).
